about

Alice Wiebe was in year 11 at Eden Marine Technology High School when she first visited the Shed to record two or three songs last year. "Winter Clothes" is from that session. "Winter Clothes" is the most played song ever on the PBGB Blog.

A year later, she was back in the Shed after more musical experience, to record four original songs: "Happier Now", "Saucepans In The Sky" and "While We're Here", plus an Ed Sheeran cover - all four songs were recorded in around an hour and a half, and all but one (which we did again because of a tech issue rather than any glitches on Alice's part) were first takes.

As you'll hear, Alice writes thoughtful lyrics and sings her well-crafted songs with style and emotion. She's also a thoroughly delightful young lady whose professional, friendly nature will be a real asset as she matures into a gigging musician.

It was an absolute pleasure to record Alice in The Shed.
